Sate [seyt]: to satisfy any appetite fully.
Rising food prices are causing severe hardship and suffering in both the developed and developing world. According to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), undernutrition contributes to five million deaths of children under five each year in developing nations. That means that 9 children die every minute from hunger.
Recognizing that traditional capital markets will only go so far in supporting food security, the Providence Group is committed to supporting sustainable efforts for food security through Capax World, a US non-profit organization that works with the world's working poor.
Providence Group works with Capax World to address the four basic dimensions of food security: availability, physical access, economic access and utilization.
As part of its integrated approach to alleviating poverty, Capax World works with local communities and international partners to improve food security in developing countries.
